| Through
WVPW, parents can participate in the intense experience
of football and cheerleading. WVPW offers an opportunity
to develop & improve the coaching skills of effective
communication, evaluation, motivation & counselling. |
 |
|

|
Coaches
spend a lot of time with their team in various roles.
Coaches are instructors, advisors, motivators, mentors
and friends. Recognizing that good coaches don't just
"happen", WVPW offers a network of resources
that help parents learn effective coaching skills. |
| Coaches
form close bonds not only with the individual football
and cheer participants, but also with other coaches. |

|
|

|
WVPW
requires that at least one (1) coach per team be certified
in first aid. WVPW also encourages its volunteer coaches
to develop their coaching skills by participating
in Bay Area coaching clinics. Many WVPW coaches attend
coaching clinics sponsored by the National Football
League and the National Football Foundation at the
San Francisco 49ers training facility in Santa Clara.
|
Enjoy
an experience you'll never regret: helping to mold the character
of boys and girls through the magic of football and cheerleading.
